Well I had to remove the old forum from the website for legal reasons. Apparently you had to pay to use that forum..

I've now installed a free to use forum instead and transferred the membership details and posts to this one. As you'll see when you start browsing some things haven't been transferred such as avatars and smileys. Some posts may even look strange because of other missing bits.  Roll Eyes

I still have everyone's old avatars etc and will be adding them in time. It will take a while though as I have to do it manually. If you can't wait feel free to upload your own.

I had problems logging in using the boxes on the forum main page. If you have problems logging in, click on the 'login' text in the menu and log in from that.

One thing I would recomend everyone do is change their profile so that their email address is not publicly shown.

Go to 'Profile'
Click on 'Account Settings'
Place a tick in 'Hide email from public' box
click save ( or submit or whatever it is at the bottom lol )

If you don't do this, web robots will harvest your email address and you'll start getting tons of spam emails trying to sell you no spam and such!

I've now managed to import most of the old smilies to this forum. Unfortunately a few of the old smilies were stored in the database so until I can work out how to get those ones, some of the smilies won't show up.

This forum is now bridged to the gallery. i.e. log in here and you're logged into the gallery too.

Still got to try and bridge the for sale page.

I've changed a bit of the forum so we can now use YOUTUBE tags again. They work exactly the same as before so all the ones posted on the old forum will work properly here too. There's also a youtube button on the message posting page.

How it works is, get the code from the youtube address of the video (what's comes after the equals sign, as below).

RbmC5IAONHw

if you were to select the above code with your mouse then click the youtube button you will get (youtube)RbmC5IAONHw(/youtube). The actual bb code uses square brackets [] and not the curved ones in the example (). That's all there is to it.

Also put online today a new 'contact us' email form as the old one was part of the old forum. The new one isn't very pretty but it works.

Yes we have a new button haha. We also have an arcade section with games in.  xyxthumbs Only five games for now but if it goes well I'll add some more.

EDIT: I have made the games arcade so that only forum members can see and play the games. Minimum of 5 posts have to be made on the forum to play them too!

I've added a picture zoom button on the message posting page. Click on 'Insert Zoomable Image' and put your image url between the tags.

Also added MP3Tube tags so you can embed songs into your posts. goto You are not allowed to view links.
Register or Login
www.mp3tube.net
, find a song you like. Copy what's in the URL box and paste it into your post. Highlight what you just pasted with the mouse and click on the MP3Tube button.

Click on the play button.

Just added some Font Face and Font Size selection boxes to the message posting options. Should be easier now for everyone to get their posts to look like they want them to. Although for some reason the two dropdown boxes have the info for the other box instead. Oh well, it still works.

It works exactly the same as it did on the last forum. You take the code that comes after the equals sign, paste it into the posting page, highlight that code and click on the youtube button which will put the youtube tags around the code for you.

The other way is to type or paste your code into the posting page and put (youtube) before the code and (/youtube) after. Make sure you  use square brackets and not round ones as I just did. I can't type square brackets as the forum will try and parse it and try to show a video that don't exist.

On the youtube url look for the 'v=' bit. after that is the code. If there's and '&' sign anywhere in it then the code ends just before the &.
