Hi, anybody fitted SIP alloy tubeless wheels to a "P" range? OK or not.

I haven't personally. I still love the idea that when you get a puncture, you can split the rims and stick a new innertube in. However, those tubeless rims do have their advantages, such as the lip inside they have. If you've ever had a puncture on an innertubed Vespa, you'll know what I mean. The back end snakes all over the place (depending on the tyre). With tubeless tyres, it doesn't tend to snake anywhere. You know the tyre has gone down and you stop safely. The lip inside the rim stops the tyre going to the center of the rim, which in turn stops you going all over the place.

I think tubeless tyres are a great idea, but, for me, I'd have to have a tubed spare wheel, just in case! Not to mention, when the tread wears down, you have to take it to a shop that has a machine capable of removing and fitting tyres on 10" rims. It's not cheap.
