Hi Worzel. As you know I recently bought this series two which is in great condition but checking it over before taking it for an MOT I noticed when checking the front suspension that it was knocking. I had the front brake applied and was moving the scooter backwards and forwards and the noise appeared in both directions.Worried that this may cause an MOT failure located the noise to play between the fork to hub locating post on the fork link and the hub post runners. Is this normal  and acceptable. I have made up a flat shim and fitted this to the runners and greased .On reassembly it seems to have done the trick. Should the fork link and hub be replaced ? the suspension springs and fork buffers have all been renewed.

Many thanks
John

In my experience it's pretty normal. The hub locating peg on the fork link is a loose fit into the hub. Obviously there to stop the right side of the hub from spinning. I wouldn't have thought is would fail an MOT for it but you never know with some MOT places. If you've sorted it out from moving, it should be fine.
