Worz, i have ordered a new exhaust from rayspeed, a fresco. The guy was a great help over the phone and gave me some ideas on how to upgrade the lammy (it makes a nice change for a dealer to give you time and good advice!) What i need to know, because i'm still a novice!, is how to check the size of my carb? it needs to be at least a 22mm.

When i was talking to the guy, he said due to the fact that i can get over 50mph the lump must be a 150 even though the frame and engine are 125 numbered. I am therefore contemplating uprating to a 175 kit, will that be fairly straightforward to fit? Well, for me anyway!

Cheers, see you friday...

Yes mate a 175 kit will bolt straight on with no worries. Only prob is, when upping the engine capacity, is where to stop. Question is, is do you stick a Scorpion on, get a 30mm carb, match your casings to your barrel, a larger front sproket?

These and many more answers will be answered on the next episode of SOAP!

Check on and around the carb for letter/number combinations such as 'SH1/18' 'SH1/20' 'SH2/20' 'SH2/22'. You may not even have a SH type carb on it but the 18-20-22 part is the carbs size. Because yours is a Series II it's very doubtful if you'd have a 22mil carb on even if it is 150cc
