Got my new exhuast (the fresco) today. Worz any thoughts on me painting (spraying) it with smoothrite? Will this effect the heat dissipation and therefore contribute to overheating? Its just a thought to prolong the life of the exhaust coz it was bloody dear!

Cheers...

I wouldn't stick smoothrite on it if i were you. 1. cos the exhaust will get bloody hot and possibly make the barrel overheat ending in a seize. 2. cos the smoothrite will probably bubble or peel off anyway as it's not meant for hot applications.

Go into your local car shop and pick up some of the matte black exhaust spray. It's specifically for the job and allows the heat to dissipate.

All scooter exhausts (except chrome & stainless) should be sprayed with this stuff once a year. It's easy to say it but i don't know anyone who bothers doing it again after the first time. Probably why peoples exhausts end up looking like mine, without a tailpipe and rusty as f**k!

Cheers Worz.

After much pissing about the exhaust is on and looking and sounding wicked...had to 'adjust' the front pipe for it to fit; took about 4 hours slog over a couple of days! Looking forward to Camber!
