HI all, im not a member so sorry for gatecrashing here!

i had a question and hope that someone can answer it for me:

i have never had a scooter. i want a scooter so ive decided to buy a scooter.

originally, i set out to buy a "vinatage" vespa but i quickly came to realise that my budget is hilariously low so that is not an option....so, ive set my sights on a repairable ETS 125 (r reg) which seems to be affordable.

the thing is, my cousin has a damaged ET4 (w reg) and says i can use it for parts (he says the engine is fine).

but because i dont know the different between the ETS and the ET4, i dont actually know if i can do this!!

(are you with me?)

im sure that for all scooter fanatics, i must seem like such a hopeless twat and for those of you that are more extreme probably think that i am not even worthy of a vespa due to my lack of knowledge (ok then - due to no knowledge)....but the thing is that i really want this scooter, but i'll only buy it if i can use some of the ET4 parts.

please some one help me, i'd really appreciate it!
many thanks,

cher, south London

Hi don't worry about not having alot of knowledge about scooters, we all have to start somewhere!

The ETS and ET4 are completely different scooters. The ETS has four gears which you shift manually with the clutch and left handlebar grip which has two cables inside that change the gears in the engine. The ET4 is an automatic scooter, you rev it and the scooter moves. Everything on the two scooters is different and non interchangable.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.
