Last night I downloaded the newest verison of the web server and installed it. I moved the web site to it and it still seems to be slow. I believe it's a problem with the computer it's running on as everytime a page is viewed the cpu usage goes up to 100%. Anyone out there got a spare 1.4ghz or upwards pc, that they want to donate free, gratis and for nothin' to be the new web server?

Thanks. Any chance of starting it up? If you right click on the My Computer icon and choose properties it'll show how fast the processor is. It needs to be 1.4Ghz or more as the web server is very cpu intensive so the faster the better.

Worley I can't get the pictures from Margate to load properly even though I've re-sized them, just repeatedly says critical error...any thoughts!:confuseds

Dunno to be honest. I've just done a repair of the database in case it was dodgy. Also watch the filenames you use. They should be a-z and/or 0-9 only. Failing that you can email them to me and I'll put them on. email me at the address on page 1 of this thread.

The cpu is still suffering but I've managed to speed up the sending of pages a bit. Don't know what happened to the donor pc Friday though. Spannas, is that offer still open mate?
