no smoking

as i hate being told what i must and must not do. (goverment) dont mind being asked no problemo. i thought i would go to the pub drink beer like its my last  nite on the planet and not smoke. i did manage it. nothing to do with the 2 girls that came and sat with me and my mate and never smoked.i did survive. but how are you going to plan your night in a smoke free place? the tenby afternoon custom show is a non smoker as well as no beer .

Seriously though this whole thing gets my goat.

No smoking round food I can understand but the whole thing about banned public smoking is crap. It should be left up to the landlord whether he wants smoking in his pub or not. Those non-smokers out there who say they can't go to pubs because of smoking can always go to the pubs where smoking is banned and smokers can go to the pubs where it aint.

Ordering me not to smoke in a pub where no food is being served and the landlord aint got a problem with it in my opinion is a breach of my civil rights.

Notice though that the house of commons bar is exempt from this law because it's classed as crown property. Pucking mp's don't represent us they represent themselves. Just like when at budget time the tax on beer and fags goes up but the tax on cigars and spirits stays the same. Why? Because most mp's smoke cigars (if they smoke) and drink shorts.
