I don't think the LML's are too bad. I've worked on a fair few and they seem to be fairly reliable. The Indians are the same as the Italians when it comes to building them though. They don't grease sod all and don't use any stainless steel. I'd recommend unbolting everything, sticking a bit of grease on it, then bolt it back. It'll save a lot of crap later on. Seized exhaust bolt, broken flywheel cowling screws, snapped master cylinder lid screws etc.

haha! No mate. All you need is a flat and phillips screwdriver, a 13mm socket for the wheel nuts and a 17mm spanner for the exhaust bolt. Anyone should be able to do it.

Thing is people didn't like the PX when it first came out. Then they didn't like the Mk1 T5 when that came out. Now they love those scooters. Maybe it'll happen to the LML eventually when there are less PX's and T5's about.

The only exception is the Vespa Cosa, which people still hate and quite rightly so. They look like a pile of pants!

Also think of the prices, a new PX125 from MSC is now £2450, an LML is £1800. Buy Vespa and PX badges for £40 and you've got yerself a new PX125 and no-one would know unless they looked at the chassis plate.

I wouldn't worry about anyone taking the piss out of me for buying one (I'm used to that anyway).

scoot I would like to announce that as an extremely proud owner of a LML it's a jolly good means of transportation when journeying to and fro to my workplace (p.s. I took the badges off!) PMSL  smiles

Funny enough yesterday I changed Kevin' exhaust and I found the main exhaust bolt had already been greased from new. So LML's must be a better quality build if they've addressed the  issues that people have had with 'made in Italy' PX's for years but Piaggio never did anything about.
