Attention Scooterists, if anybody out there is considering a quickie winter sun getaway before the 2011 rally season then please take time to read this!!!!
Set the scene, yer on hols abroad ….. loving the daytime sun, sea, sand and chilling out ….. Then come the evening its out for some fodder and the nightly ritual starts, reps hounding you into their bars to listen to club sounds and chart sh*te, if that’s your thing then fine,... but if like us you end up mooching up and down the strip in the search of finding a bar playing at least a sniff of Motown or 60’s in the hope to hear anything familiar to our scooterist culture??
Well consider this, you are more than welcome to join us on our ‘Tenerife Scooterist Scorchio 2011‘, 7 days of sun, sea, sand and chilling by day courtesy of Tenerife itself and 7 nites of FREE Scooterist entertainment provided by us.
The dates are from
Friday 25th February 2011 to Friday 4th March 2011 (only 1 week as 28 days in Feb)
We have offers of venues in Playa de las Americas and Costa Adeje during the week to hold our own Scooter Do’s, then every 2nd nite will be split between doing your own thing, recovering, or you can join us at our 100% Scooterist sounds karaoke at different bars/venues and is all FREE.
So basically evening Scooter Do’s on Friday, Sunday, Tuesday & the Thursday night before we fly home.
And doing your own thing OR 100% Scooterist Karaoke on the Saturday, Monday & Wednesday nites.
UK rally/club Dj’s so far are Adi Clark, Chris (Dirty Johns), Spiv 007 and FM Phil with more to be confirmed, we are considering one of the nites being an o.t.t. Scooterist Fancy Dress nite, where its choice of either plastic mod, skin, punk, 80’s scooter boy, souley in the gender of your choice ooooer missus but out of yer normal guise for a laff…. I’m sure I can find a pair of size 10 go-go boots, an XL frock and a Bob wig by then, and you really don’t wanna know about the others ha ha ha!!!
The 100% Scooterist sounds karaoke will be run by Phil (Coasters SC) who is a pro-mobile karoke & long term scooterist, so for this trip away Northern Soul, Mod, Reggae, Ska etc. etc. will be on the machine, so at last karaoke tunes we are all familiar with and can help in singing along to.
There has been good response from Northern Scooterists for this ’Scooterist Scorchio’ so it looks like a North/South karaoke-off may be on the cards!!!! ….. there will be trophies for this and again is FREE.
So far we have 60+ confirmed and the numbers/enquiries are growing daily, the more the merrier to join us so we can hopefully secure deals on bar prices/meal deals etc.
The above and ourselves are based around Costa Adeje & Playa de las Americas so within 10 mins walk of each other to keep in contact.
The average costs per person is working out £200-£250 all in (for both flight and hotel) which for a week away in gorgeous sun while the UK is frozen is a bargain.

Note: make sure when you booking select TFS AIRPORT ONLY, this is Tenerife South and is the closest to the above resorts.

PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS NOT A VFM SOCIAL!!The motive behind this one-off jolly is there were 35+ of us (mainly Coasters S.C. and Overlanders S.C. Belfast) who attended the VFM Tenerife Social 2010 and had such a fantastic time we vowed to return in 2011 along with numerous more scooterists who we told our holiday stories to on our return! ….. but after chatting with John & Steve of VFM the Grande Social sadly is not taking place in 2011 boo hoo!!
