Now here's a thing that may be a bizzarre concept to some, although this type of event has (or has not) happened in the bike world before, a non attendance scooter rally! Organised by the You are not allowed to view links.

website, this non-event is designed to raise money for charity ( in this case its NABD, the National Association for Bikers with Disabilities, which helps bikers and scooterists get back on the road after suffering a disability.) As its the only scooter rally you dont have to attend to take part in, helping to raise cash could'nt be easier!
This non-event, possibly the first ever non attendance scooter rally, will take place over the August Bank Holiday weekend, the place it wont be happening at is the Isle Of Sheppy in Kent, and the organisers have confirmed that no top Dj's have been booked. Furthermore confirmation that The Specials, The Clash and The Jam have not reformed to play this event are true. Other bands confirmed not to play include Madness, King Kurt, The Who and Dexys Midnight Runners. There is however the possibility of a virtual Custom Show being held over the internet during your non-attendance rally.
So what do you have to do to take part? Well you send your money off (something in the region of £5) to the organisers and in return you'll get a patch and a programme of sorts, then simply sit back and make sure you dont go anywhere near the Isle Of Sheppy over the August Bank Holiday Weekend!
Anyone wishing to sponsor the non-attendance rally in any way is more than welcome and all are invited to get on the internet and visit
